No, it didn’t look like this for those 3 years. This is what it looked like at move-in day. It was a fantastic space in the historic mills in downtown Manchester, NH. I sure do miss it!

I have continuously operated a “creative business” since 1989 in portrait and commercial photography as both a freelance photographer and a studio business owner.
My professional certifications include “graphicmasters” level certification in technology skills for web and graphic design, certified in Sales, plus I am a certified CEO and if that wasn’t enough I earned my certification as a Tour Director/Guide in order to become a tour operator (check out my photo travel website). I truly enjoy helping others with their own business challenges including startups, planning, strategy, marketing, and lead generation.

ME TOO! Did you know, that if you pose your question in the form of a HOW your brain will work overtime to provide the answer/solutions to the question? So, let’s give that a try – ask yourself “HOW can I get my own private photography & business mentor?”
This is something that I have personal experience with. When I launched my portrait studio in Manchester, NH I worked very closely with 2 mentors that I hired – Sarah Petty (via her online training program) & Jeff Shaw (via phone and in-person). I was also an active participant (Board positions held) within two great communities of creative business owners that I had access to via the NHPPA and the NH Creative Club. Along with that, I earned my Photographic Craftsman (CR. Photog.) degree from Professional Photographers of America.
Now, this was not to say that I didn’t have mentors prior to this period. I have been a continuously operating professional photographer starting in 1988. I have been teaching creative people how to be better photographers and better creative business owners since then. It took me much labor and tons of learning from various teachers and mentors to get to the point of even deciding to sign on the dotted line for a 3-year lease of my NH studio. If you believe that you can be your best business owner possible in a bubble, guess again!
